Jeremy Nasmith |
Jeremy trained at the School of Atelier Ballet, and the National Ballet School.
He began performing with Opera Atelier in 1986, and in 1996 joined the National Ballet of Canada.
Jeremy spent the next 7 years with the National Ballet of Canada full time, being awarded the rank of Second Soloist. In 2001, Jeremy moved to Japan to pursue a wider range of repertoire as a freelance dancer/choreographer all the while continuing to appear as a guest artist with both the National Ballet and Opera Atelier with every return to Toronto. Jeremy has choreographed regularly since 2001 having made works for Canada's Ballet Jörgen, the Fringe Festival, the Four Season Centre’s lunchtime concerts, Baroque Music Beside the Grange for the Royal Ontario Museum, and the Aradia Ensemble.
From 2014 to 2020, Jeremy ran Dance Teq Centre at Queen and McCaul.

Tomoe Yamasaki, Associate Director of Dance Teq Centre, is a highly experienced ballet instructor with 25 years of professional teaching experience both here in Toronto and in her native Japan. Tomoe's former students are working in companies around the world, and she continues to work as a guest coach and teacher each year in Japan.
Tomoe is also one of Toronto's most sough after certified Fletcher Pilates® instructor, regularly training professional dancers of the highest calibre.
